Uvira/Bruno/Hafizi Trio

The Uvira/Bruno/Hafizi Trio was formed in 2015 in Rotterdam (NL). The band plays modern jazz repertoire, consisting mainly of the pianist's original compositions, on a high european level.

Jan Uvira (Czech Republic), jazz pianist and composer studied jazz piano in the Conservatory of J. Jezek in Prague. Afterwards he started to attend the Music Academy of K. Szymanowski in Katowice. In 2015/2016 he studied in the Codarts Academy of Music in Rotterdam (NL), under the guidance of the renowned pianists Rob van Bavel and Franz von Chossy.

The drummer Martin Hafizi (Bulgaria), studied classical percussion in the National Music School in Sofia in Mariya Palieva's class. In 2012 he was accepted in the jazz department of Codarts, Rotterdam with major drums. He is a winner of many music awards (Valencia, Cannes, Plovdiv, Sofia, St. Petersburg).

The double bass player Alessio Bruno (Italy), studied in the Royal Academy of Music in the Hague, where he obtained a bachelor degree in jazz and currently he is studying for his master's degree at Codarts, Rotterdam guided by the renowned bass players Stefan Lievestro and Marius Beets.

The trio has already toured successfully in Bulgaria, Czech Republic and The Netherlands. Their plans for the near future include touring in Italy and releasing their first album.
