HIRAM SALSANO (IT)

Hiram Salsano, born in Agropoli (SA), born in 1988, lives on the slopes of the Alburni mountains, in a small village in Cilento, she trained as a movement performer. At the same time, her study interests focus on the traditional dances and music of Southern Italy, focusing more on those of Campania. Since 2005 she has been an independent ethnographic researcher, her attention focused on the vocal tradition repertoire of southern Italy and on two specific areas of Campania: Lattari mountains and Alburni mountains. Since 2007 she has held workshops in Europe of traditional dances of Southern Italy.

Hiram plays in various traditional music formations and participates in various festivals and showcases in France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy. She works experimentally on the voice and plays frame drums from southern Italy (tammorra and tambourine), since 2022 she has been engaged in a personal author's world musical project. In 2023 he released his first album "Bucolica" anticipated by the release of "Tarantà" video clip. The album is placed among the top ten records of the Transglobal World Music Chart and among the top twenty of the World Music Charts Europe, as well as among the top three of Mundofonìas of May 2023.
