Vangelis Vrachnos Quartet (GR)
Born in Thessaloniki in 1989, Vangelis Vrachnos is a versatile musician who blends greek and other balkan and east traditions with jazz influences, honed through studies at local conservatories and Codarts Academy in Rotterdam. Known for founding the Yako Trio and Mordana, he has performed at prestigious festivals and venues across Europe and Greece, and recently debuted his personal project, the Vangelis Vrachnos Quartet, with the album “Astrografia”.
This album is a sonic exploration of cosmic depth and personal storytelling, brought to life through rich melodies and intricate interplay. Recorded in Thessaloniki at Cue Studio Records, “Astrografia” captures the essence of contemporary jazz rooted in Greek tradition.
