A to JazZ Kids

А to JazZ Kids is back with another series of events for kids. We are telling the story of jazz in the form of a mini concert “The history of jazz”, allowing kids to take part of different interactive games and dances. On the second day we will introduce the origins of ethno instruments, drawing them into games which will make the little ones play and dance under the rhythms of ethno-jazz music. The team of A to JazZ Kids has prepared musical surprises for everyone, come along!

10:30 am - 11:30 am - „The History of Jazz“

Band members: 

Bobi Petrov – drums;  

Teodor Petkov – Тото -  keys; 

Borislav Iliev – guitar; 

Martin Velev – bass guitar; 

Atanas Hadjiev – clarinet and saxophone; 

Iglika Radilova - host. 

 

 

The concert “History of Jazz” will summarize, in a few compositions, the different styles of jazz. Starting from Ragtime, going through Chicago Style, Dixieland, Swing, Big Band Music, Bebop, etc. The audience will not only learn the history of jazz but the transformation it goes through. At the end of the concert kids will be able to participate on stage as guest-musicians and play together.  

11:30 am - 1:00 pm Music competitive games of A to JazZ Kids

The team of A to JazZ Kids has prepared for all kids very entertaining music and competitive games. In the rhythm of ethno-jazz the little ones will be drawn into various games and dances.

10:30 am - 11:3 am. - “Ethno jazz for kids“

Band Members:

Zhivko Vasilev – kaval; 

Iglika Radilova – host. 

 

During the concert each instrument will be presented, showing the specificity of its sound, as well as the role it plays in a small or big ensemble. Different jazz standards with ethno sound will be played, as well as their varieties in the various jazz styles. We will also pay close attention to the different time measures/ rhythms and their place in jazz.  

 

At the end kids will be able to participate by playing and dancing in the rhythm of ethno-jazz.

11:30 аm - 1 pm - Dancing lessons and music games with A to JazZ Kids

The team of A to JazZ Kids has prepared a short lesson on traditional folklore dances, followed by music games. The kids will be drawn into games and dances in the rhythm of ethno-jazz music.
