NUBRAS ENSEMBLE (IT)

Bulgarian Routes: Two Seas, One Myth is a musical project connecting the traditions of Bulgaria and Southern Italy through a contemporary chamber music approach.

The project brings together ten musicians: Nubras Ensemble – an emerging voice in the Italian world music scene – and three renowned performers of Bulgarian folk music: Diyana Vasileva from The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices, gadulka player Borislav Galabov from the Bulgarian National Radio Folk Orchestra, and kaval player and composer Kiril Belezhkov. Together they create a musical bridge between the Balkans and the Mediterranean. Inspired by shared myths, rituals and musical traditions, the project unfolds as a dialogue between cultures, combining voices and traditional instruments in a concert that connects two distant yet closely related musical worlds.
