As cultural operators and event organizers, every aspect of the impact of our cultural products is important to us. Festivals are significant drivers of added value for the cities and regions where they take place, and they can have a lasting impact on the development of local communities and economies. We analyze the social, cultural, and economic impact of A to JazZ to demonstrate how our festival—and cultural events more broadly—contributes to the development of cities’ social and economic life. For several years, in collaboration with the sociological agency Alfa Research and a team of economists, we have been refining our methodology to create a tool that supports cultural operators in our country with gathering data on their products. We believe that such analyses are a valuable way to better understand our audience, our event, and the value it generates. Data provides essential proof that culture is a vital component of the country’s economy.
