UMA RANGANATHAN (NO)
Uma Ranganathan is an Indian classical (Carnatic) vocalist based in Norway, known for her expressive artistry and thoughtfully curated thematic programs. Trained in the rich Carnatic tradition under the renowned guru Gayathri Venkataraghavan, her work connects classical purity with contemporary contexts, exploring ideas of rhythm, mathematics, emotion (Navarasa), spirituality and cross-cultural dialogue.
She is the founder and artistic director of the “Art to Heart Institute”, which promotes development, appreciation and well-being through Asian arts by combining performance, education and community engagement. Uma performs both as a soloist and in collaboration with other artists, presenting concerts, educational programs and interdisciplinary projects that bring Indian classical music to diverse international audiences.
