ZENFAN KABARÉ (REU)

Zenfan Kabaré is a group from Réunion Island bringing together six musicians and singers who represent the island’s multicultural identity. Their music is rooted in maloya, a traditional music of Réunion, while also incorporating contemporary influences and diverse musical styles.

In 2024, the young and dynamic ensemble gained wider recognition after winning the 20 Désamb prize at the festival’s seventh edition. Through their inventive musical and stage arrangements, they captured the attention of local audiences and event organizers, breaking stereotypes while remaining closely connected to the island’s cultural and musical heritage.
